Ever seen a unicorn? How about a baby German one that's not white, but black? Well now is your chance to let one merrily prance across your pallet. This black German-style session lager is refreshing, crisp and mystically intriguing with its maltiness.

Appearance - The beer poured from the tap a dark black color with a white head.
Smell - The nose was roasty but lacked any sense of bitterness.
Taste - there was a richness to the profile that was almost meaty. The malts were roasty and somewhat creamy. There was no sense of bitterness. Bready notes came out with the malt in the finish.
Mouthfeel - The tiny bubbles of carbonation made for a smooth mouthfeel. At times, it seemed almost creamy.
Mouthfeel - I have been going through a schwarzbier phase recently. This is pretty top of the line.

Had at 3 Floyd's in a dimple mug.
L: Dark brown, mildly opaque, light tan head.
S: Toasted malt.
T: Nice roastiness and caramel - with a tad bit of sweet chocolate.
F: Medium body, nothing to write home about but I think the point of this beer is to focus on the taste.
O: Enjoyable dark lager.

16oz draft pour into a Bavarian Lodge branded becher glass is a mostly opaque deep, dark brown color with a light, and quickly disappearing, tan head.
Aromas are roasted malt and lighter coffee.
Flavors lean more malty with much less coffee and an almost chewy caramel.
Feel is lighter than one might assume, per the style.
Nice by the fire.

Dark brown in color.
Roasted malts with some coffee notes. Smokey with bacon flavors. Some chocolate and caramel.
Medium bodied. Dry and roasted feel.
Decent, but it's tough to drink a lot of this one.
