Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: MasterSki on 07-12-2012

This beer is retired; no longer brewed.

Pale in color with a spicy nose, bready malt body, and noble hop notes throughout, this Dortmunder-style lager is just the thing to slake one’s thirst.

Served in a stein.

A - Pale, straw yellow with a nice one finger head. As you'd expect for the style, it appears a bit thin

S - Light straw and noble hops with a slight bready malt

T - Sweet, bready malt up front with a nice light noble hop kick in the middle. The finish is straw and light noble hops. The strong hops add a nice twist to make this a good beer in what can be an otherwise bland style

MF - Medium carbonation that gives a smooth and surprisingly full mouthfeel. I did not expect this to be as a smooth as this one was. A pleasant surprise

O - Leave it to FFF to put a nice twist on an otherwise normal style. Has a nice balance between sweet, bready malt and a slight hoppy kick. (704 characters)

On tap at FFF.
Served in a stein.

dry, crisp, and refreshing. Mildly bitter. Dry grainy malt has some biscuity notes underneath a pretty large bready character.

Light, easy-drinking body with plenty of carbonation.

There's not a whole lot going on here, but I can understand the style is not meant to overwhelm me-- in all honesty, this beer is allright. I prefer 2Bros Dortmunder to this one, though I'm happy to sip this here. (435 characters)
