On tap at the pub (or crazy house as I like to call it! :) )
Brought a few bottles home like normal.
Shit is good! Damn, good.
Happy to stop in for a snack at lunch and see this Mikkeller collar on tap, well that and got the first bottle of Moloko as well!
A: looks delicious. golden clear pour with a 1/2" head to stick your nose into
S: Jumps out at you. Barleywine? No. Three Floyds Barleywine yes. I say that because I'm not a barley wine fan yet. This one is citrus, orange, grapefruit and hops. Consistent with FFF.
T: grapefruit citrus off the bat. The malty sweetness comes immediately after, then hops to finish it off. It seems to linger in your palate wanting you to take another sip. At 10.4, a sip is good at lunch time!
M: standard carbonation. Smooth and tastey. As expected
O: Wow, didn't think I'd be that head over heels for this one. BooGoop was good, but not even close to RisGoop. This is my style. Call is a Barleywine, call it a IPA, call it whatever you want. This shit is good! Didn't i already say that! :)

1800th review! 22 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled in 8/2012. Pours moderately hazy bright orange amber color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, honey, bread, candy sugar, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good complexity of hop notes with moderate pale malt balance; and good strength. Taste of pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, lemon/orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, honey, candy sugar, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, orange/lemon zest, orange rind, pine, floral, grass, honey, candy sugar, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity of hop flavors with moderate pale malt balance; with great crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic blonde barelywine! All around awesome complexity and balance of hop and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
