Thanks to my great work friend Emily for picking this one up in the Elkhart region back a few months ago.
Served in a FFF shaped glass because they simply won't release those Goddam Teku glasses anymore.
A: Poured a slightly chill-hazed orange color, with a much bigger head than I was expecting. Beautiful beer, and very IPA-like for a Barleywine.
S: I smelled this bastard from the git-go. FFF hop profile upfront, citrus-orange, and with a DIPA disposition. Pretty self-explanatory.
T: Definitely more FFF than Mikkeller, freshly squeezed orange juice, candy-coated booze, and very streamlined grapefruit/bitter component on the finish. Remarkable.
M: The carbonation was perfect, some booze, but it was of the candy-like variety, and lotsa lacing that looked like suds in a bath tub.
O: Totally blown away by this. One of the best I've tried in 2013 so far.

1800th review! 22 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled in 8/2012. Pours moderately hazy bright orange amber color with a 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, pine, honey, bread, candy sugar, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good complexity of hop notes with moderate pale malt balance; and good strength. Taste of pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, lemon/orange zest, orange rind, floral, grass, honey, candy sugar, bread, and floral earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, orange/lemon zest, orange rind, pine, floral, grass, honey, candy sugar, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity of hop flavors with moderate pale malt balance; with great crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic blonde barelywine! All around awesome complexity and balance of hop and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
