Served in a Caracole snifter/tulip glass at Local Option.
Drowning my disappointment for missing some of the badass taps here over the weekend in a glass of Floyds. Yup. This stuff pours a hazy pale golden-straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises funky lemon zest, funky wheat, light Belgian yeast, light ginger, and light grapefruit rind. The taste brings in more of the same, though the lemon is funkier, and a touch of extra sugar comes into play. The body is a light-ish medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a solid little Belgian-y beer, one that doesn't necessarily excite, but it does generally please.
