Bottled poured into a HF tulip.
Pour: Completely hazy orange with a finger and a half off white head. Head sticks around and also leaves pretty nice lacIng. This is definitely a good looking beer.
Smell: Orange ring, grapefruit, and lemon zest come up front, followed by a healthy pineyness, and a heavy caramel maltiness. Slight zing on the nose that I attribute to the rye.
Taste: Pretty damn balanced, with orange rind, pine, and huge caramel sweetness hitting you all at once, and staying true all through the palate. Rye provides a heavy spicyness throughout the entire palate. Ends with piney dryness and caramel sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Pretty big beer with equally hefty bitterness and sweetness. Finishes very dry.
Overall: Pretty nice FFF, as usual. My first good experience with a rye beer.
