Poured from a 22 oz. bomber into a Three Floyds Brewing Company branded teku glass

Pours a deep, dark gold with amber hues capped by a two finger bright white head. Decent head retention with visible lacing present as the head recedes. Belgian yeast, peppery spice, grassy and floral notes on the nose. Opens with grass and flora, joined by yeasty esters, and fruity notes including accents of pear and perhaps some grapeskin. Finishes dry with white pepper spice. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, silky, slick and smooth. Stack N Stabb is yet another above average brew that belongs to a style with which Three Floyds is not usually associated. Three Floyds continues to prove that they aren't just about the "hop bombs."

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy orange. Small white head. Wisps and a collar.

Smell - Nice orangey aroma. Phenolic cloves and bananas. Yeasty. Booze.

Taste - Much more of the Belgian character. Citrus is there, but fainter. More of a sweet apple flavor. Harsh pale malts. Booze and some spice in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Harsh alcohol. Not that much alcohol, but it's got a kick. A little heavy.

Overall - Enjoyed it at first, but it gets very harsh.

Thanks to Adam for this bottle. About a month or so from bottling. Poured in to FFF teku glass.

A - Medium orange/yellow in colour. Only very slightly translucent with half a finger of cream coloured head.

S - Big Belgian yeast aroma up front along with cloves, banana, spice, a hint of citrus and some bready malt aromas in the background.

T - Extremely dry throughout. Belgian yeast, clove, banana, peppery spices and a fairly substantial bready malt backbone. A light floral hop profile is present as well.

M - Medium body, creamy. Light to moderate carbonation. Extremely dry.
