750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Black. Decent khaki head. Leggy. Chunky collar.

Smell - Incredible bourbon aroma. Vanilla and oak. Oak is strong. Booze and chocolate. Some coffee. The slightest bit of licorice.

Taste - Chocolate and booze up front. Bourbon is just as good as the smell. Rich chocolate all over. Oak very strong. Just incredible.

Mouthfeel - It's hella boozy. Medium carbonation. Heavy, but not too sugary.

Overall - This is one of the best bourbon stouts I've had in a long time.

Having side-by-side with Baller. 750ml poured into a Goose Island glass.

A- Black with little transparency. No lacing.

S- Anise, black licorice, minimal booze, chocolate, dark fruit.

T- Black licorice, dark fruit, chocolate... booze is hidden well. I like hot beers though.

M- 3/4 full bodied compared with zhukov/huna. Minimal carbonation.

O- I was disappointed with this beer. I am having Baller with it, and I just may enjoy baller more. There is nothing that is exceptional about Murda'd IMO. Maybe I got a bad bottle?

I split this one with Huzahbendah here recently at a tasting. Thank god (or whatever Richard Dawkins worships), I took good notes.

A: Looked like black, infected snot coming out of the bottle. Dark as hell, with a slight mocha head that was ultimately anti-climactic.

S: Fruity Pebbles... Hell, "Dark Lord" was the dominating presence here. Lots of milk chocolate and Cherry Cordial ice cream. No bourbon.

T: Enormous barrel aging here. Do NOT have this as your main course. This is a dessert beer through and through. Hell, I even burped sweet cherries and coconut bourbon. Seriously, the only one I got was "Dark Lord" with Darkness, Black Albert, and Brunch Weasel playing deep, deep, deep background.

M: Snot-like, and to be honest, the sweetness wasn't as cutting as I thought it was going to be upon first sniff, however, this was pitch perfect on the carbonation and thickness feel.

O: I paid $50 for this at the brewery, therefore, if you have one of these, please bide your time and consider this an "event" beer. As for me, I thought it was worth the money as a one time shot.
