Notes/Commercial Description:
With the same grim determination and American innovation that President Jack Kennedy showed when propelling us to victory in the space race, we at Three Floyds bring you Space Station Middle Finger. Both bright and citrusy this pale ale deserves to be in orbit.

Served in an Imperial pint at Three Floyds: ABV 6.0, IBU 50 listed as a Pale Ale.

A - light amber in color, big creamy colored frothy head with lacing so sticky it looked there was masking tape inside the glass.

S - nice pine and citrus, the citrus was predominantly grapefruit and pineapple. As it warmed a it of apricot surfaced. Great crisp nose..

T - crisp and clean with the pine in front and citrus aftertaste.

M - carbonation is spot on and well balanced, slight lingering resinous aftertaste.

O - different hop profile than Zombie, not as much citrus, was told it was an experimental hop, not named yet. I would drink this along with Zombie all day long, a really good Pale Ale! Hoping they bottle this one!

On tap at Tipsy Cow.

A nice pale with a mild and somewhat masked pineapple hop presence and a firm caramel malt spine. Mouthfeel is light and approachable and while the flavors are enjoyable, they don't pop or jump.

A fine and drinkable pale from Floyds that doesn't break any molds.

On-tap at Tipsy Cow in Madison, WI. Poured into a tulip glass today, 3/25/2014.

App- Clear light copper body, very similar to Zombie Dust. One finger white head, good retention, nice rings of lacing as it goes down.

Smell- Fairly malty- caramel, toffee- mixed in with a nice citrusy hop aroma. As balanced as it gets from Three Floyds.

Flavour- Similar to the nose. Not overly bitter. Nice sweet caramel and grainy maltiness mixed in with the appropriate amount of citrus, grapefruit hops. I don't know the hop varieties used here, but I am now wondering if there's some galaxy here. Solid drinking beer that I can't find much wrong with except that its not Zombie Dust... hard one to live up to.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied, good carbonation, resinous and coats the tongue in hoppy malty sweetness but not particularly bitter at all. No ABV. Nice drinker.

Overall- Solid APA, not too bitter and reminds me a lot of Ale Asylum Hopalicious but quite a bit better.
