Another beer that looks eerily similar and tastes eerily similar to Dreadnaught. Pours a yellow color with ample clarity, soft white 3/5" head. Very good aroma, definitely hits the pine scents well, plenty aromatic, they really waft high up out the bottle and pint glass.
Taste, very dry, lots of piney hops, hides the alcohol and bitterness immensely well. Has a mildly herbal presence that can often occur in the high hop low dry malt types of beers like these, isn't a detraction at all. Grapefruit creeps unto the pine hop note territory in the mouthfeel, remains so light and dry, and then some minor tropical fruit notes. A great example of a light beer that hides alcohol oh so well.
Actually, compared with the meh Dreadnaught they served at the FW fest, this is actually better. When both are fresh, they are probably tough to distinguish in a blind test.
$10 a bottle is a little steep for any ipa. If you're a fan of Zombie Dust, Dreadnaught, Arctic Panzer, Alpha King, Aeotara, Apocalypse Cow etc. . . you're very likely to dig on this, even if you've had beers very similar to it from FFF already. It is a great summer beer with a punch.

Pour is a hazed dark amber with a tight off white head. Nose is piney hops, resin, notes of orange peel, and an underlying grain. Taste is not overly hoppy, a bit of balance with the hops bringing pine and a hint of hop resin. The citrus comes in in back, strong orange and a touch of orange juice. Finish is very dry, gently carbonated with a soft body.
