12oz bottle, unknown date. Served around 40F. Big thanks to Jamie for bringing me a bottle of this!
Pours lightly hazy golden amber with a nice white head that retains extremely well and leaves a lot of sticky rings of lacing behind.
Aroma is quite fruity and citrusy with lemon, orange and grapefruit as well as pineapple, peaches and some banana. Somewhat floral as well as some notes of yeast and bread. Very good strength.
Flavor is massive on this one, a ton of pink grapefruit fruit and rind, orange and lemon, peach, some banana, candied fruit, bread and yeast. A little sweetness and mild bitterness on the finish. Minimal alcohol. Very hoppy.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, oily and sticky, good carbonation.
Beers like this really redefine the Wheat Ale style as this is so incredibly hoppy it is almost hard to believe that it is a wheat beer, which is a style I normally don’t go for, but I love my hops and this delivers in a big way.
