Got this in a trade from Beerwolf77, popped my three floyds cherry, with a bang!
been looking forward to trying this, and I sure wasn't dissapointed, I just now discovered that there is such thing as a wheat beer with a hopkick, This hits the spot
Poors a dark yellow, tad but cloudy, but that might be the condensation on the glass playing tricks on me. Barely any head, and what was there was gone fast. Lots of grapefruit in the nose, gives it a nice hop scent, barely smell any wheat in this.
Tastes insanely refreshing, very fizzy but that goes along with the fresh fruity flavors, wheat up front, bitter hoppyness in the back.
As a 5.5% brew, I'd love to see it here in MS, I'll have my next bottle side by side with a tallgrass Halcyon, which according to my husband is better. Tastewise it's a close call, but I give this brew my vote!

A: Only slightly hazy orange-gold body, tufts of bubbles, a good head that leaves a thin coating on the surface, a few legs of sticky lace.
S: Mostly strikingly clean hops, most citrus fruits. Faint background of wheat. Really good, but too hop-centric for the named style.
T: Again, too hoppy for the style, but it's too good for me to knock it much. Clean, clean hops showcasing a variety of citruses with minimal bitterness playing off a slightly sweet wheat base. Finish could be longer.
M: Supremely crisp. Fluid. Lively. Refreshing. This is fantastic.
O: A simple concept wonderfully executed. Exactly matches my preferences for low bitterness, restrained hopping, and mild wheat sweetness. It's between a wheat and an IPA, I guess they can't appease both camps ('this IPA is weak!' 'this wheat has too much hops!'). All said and done, a great, easily repeatable beer.
