Located in the back section of the new King Soopers on Leetsdale and Cherry. Apparently, Kroger wants to challenge Target and Colorado Liquor mart in this area.

Walk in from the store side or from the back entrance. At first, it looks nice--concentrating on wine, or rather the wine "prestige". A small fireplace with chairs on one side, for some reason. A computerized wine/food search engine--pairing thing (was broken) is by the counter.

Service...well, it's King Soopers. Nice people, perhaps, but no knowledge of much of anything.

Selection looks large, but upon close inspection it's just spread out. 6-packs are sideways, single beer bombers are in several places. Sure, a pretty good selection, but not what it appears.
The cooler does not have doors, it's an open air blower-type thing.

Perhaps a place to check out, but not all that impressive.

V-The liquor/wine/beer area is in the back corner of the store. It is much bigger than I anticipated. This section of the store was super crowded (like the rest of the store) when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Weekend grocery getters getting their liquor, I guess. The big space is mostly dedicated to wine and spirits, but there is a lengthy cooler with nothing but craft beer. It feels like a clean grocery store but there is beer, which is unusual for Colorado.

Q-The beer is nearly all in coolers, which is good, but freshness was an issue on a couple of the bottles that I picked up to inspect. Makes me wonder if some of the lesser known stuff doesn't turn over here.

Ser-I didn't receive any help but I didn't ask either, so take this score with a grain of salt. I did, however, hear some employees helping customers and their answers were reasonably knowledgeable. Rating by eavesdropping....

Sel-The mixer-sixer section is decently sized and includes some good beer. The selection of Colorado craft is above average too. King Soopers has big-name craft brands, e.g., Stone, Ommegang, Boulevard, in large and small-format bottles, but I did not see anything mind-blowing or unique. I didn't notice a ton of import craft either.

O-This is a better beer store than the nearby Super Target but Colorado Liquor Mart and Joy Wine are pretty close by and offer a more curated selection of craft. Prices here were good, though, so there is that.
