i'm glad a place like this popped up in downriver MI. the atmosphere is very dive bar but in a good way. like it seems like a dark kept up place. you wont find cobwebs and hookers in the corner giving handy's out. the selection and quality come together for me. for only having 4 taps that sucks. i know they cater to MI bottles but you can get bottles from the store. if i go out i wanna have a good beer on tap. but from what i've seen they keep their bottles fresh so they have that going for them. i don't see summer seasonals still being offered in the mid to late fall. food is scarce. they offer burgers and fried edibles which are good but not a huge selection. to me as long as it's good and fresh i'll take that over a place that offers alot and is mediocre at best. for me it's either this place or the oak if i wanna go out for beer in my neck of the woods. i almost forgot about service. mel rocks. i met two other dudes working there and both were cool. price on stuff is totally good. you can't complain. my only complaint is i wish they had short's huma on tap all the time. or at least an ipa on tap everytime they rotate. sometimes they have no ipa's on tap and it drives me away. its a good place to check out if you want to venture to something good and different. being downriver there might be an asshole their drinking a bud all pissed off about their shitty life but the bartenders and other patrons seem to lookout for one another so it's not a problem. i would like to see this establishment prosper.

I used to live in Wyandotte and spent a few nights in this place years ago. It was a typical downriver dive bar serving cheap BMC products. They are now under new ownership and focus on Michigan craft beer. 4 or 5 Michigan beers on tap and tons of bottles. Bell's, Founders, Arcadia, Arbor, New Holland, Dark Horse, Jolly Pumpkin, Dragonmead, Kuhnhenn, Shorts, etc. Really a great selection and very reasonable prices. Most bottles are under $4, and draft beer is $5/pint.
I went in and they had Kuhnhenn Blueberry Play in the Hay on tap! Incredible.
Food is very limited. Basically burgers and chicken fingers.
Service was very good. Bartender was knowledgeable and very cool.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a dive bar...pool table, darts, etc, but if you are looking for a laid back place to drink a great beer, this is it. I will definitely be back.
