This beer pours a murky dark reddish-amber hue, with one finger of loosely foamy beige head, which wisps away alarmingly quickly, leaving little in the way of lace around the glass for its meager efforts.
It smells of sweet caramel malt, somewhat medicinal fruit - apple puree, red grapes, and sugary cherry, all tinged with a Halls-esque essence, and only the slightest of earthy, weedy hops filtering through the mere suggestion of a trip to the bathroom cabinet. The taste is sweet caramel malt, with a slight wheat astringency, some tart fruity character - sour cherry and under ripe apple, predominantly, mild savoury spice, and earthy, dead leaf hops.
The bubbles are fairly restrained, but not altogether out of it, the body a middling medium weight, and not exactly unsmooth, I suppose. It finishes off-dry, the malt sweetness hard-pressed to evoke any wheat characteristics, and that weirdly sour fruitiness holding strong.
A strange enough weizenbock, that much is certain, though I am loath to blame infection at this point, as there aren't really any off-putting flavours or aromas here - just the aforementioned off-base notions. This has been pulled from distribution at Sherbrooke, due to what, I can only speculate, though their history for this sort of overreaction leaves me cold. Try this if you can, and add your opinion to the the underrepresented.

Thanks to Jim at Sherbrooke for the sample. From a 330 ml brown bottle. Pours out a cloudy opaque deep brown hue, tall fizzy beige head that settles quickly.
Sweet bready caramel malt on the nose, punctuated with some sour, tart green banana, as if some wild yeast were used.
Tart green banana notes dominate the flavour as well, acidic, with some sticky caramel malt in the background. Either this has overattentuated due to the hefe yeast, or there's an infection in the works here.
Medium-bodied mouthfeel, some acidic stickiness in the texture that coats the palate. Carbonation is moderate.
Hard to tell if this Weizenbock is too young or past its prime, but something is amiss. Something for the folks in Alberta to watch out for with this particular batch.
