Notes/Commercial Description:
Finally an American IPA from us. This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a delicious finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass

A: Pours a ruddy, light copper. There is an off-white head with ok retention that leaves a relatively large amount of spotty lacing. 3.5

S: The smell is all floral hops and fruit. Pine and grass cuttings dominate with citrus and grapefruit to complement. 3

T: There are similar hop flavors to the smell but vary in potency. The fruit flavors take a backseat to bitter floral hops. Grass cuttings are prominent and the citrus is mild. There is a light, caramel malt backbone. Alcohol is faintly noticeable throughout and combines with the grassy hops to form a bitter, crisp finish. 3.5

M: Thin and a little bit oily. 3.5

O: Not as big of flavors as I would have hoped. Fruit flavors take a backseat to bitter pine hops. 3.5

Has a nice orange/amber color, and a slightly hazy body. Didn't really pour with much of a head, smallish but dense and with lacing. Aroma is hop forward with a bold citrus scent. Tangerine dominates here. On the taste I got a bold bitter hop taste first then a malty middle ending with citrusy hops. The beer drinks smooth and has a prickly bitter finish. Overall it was pretty good. I liked the tangerine nose the best it was quite refreshing and the citrusy finish in the taste was top notch. Go buy one.

A: I love the orange color on this beer. I am a bit disappointed by the lack of head even with an aggressive pour. I didn't get much foam at all from this one.

S: It seems to be a great mix of maltiness and hops fresh off the nose.

T: A solid bitterness up front followed by the nice maltiness from the nose. I get bits an pieces of caramel but not much. Enjoyable if not a little bit average.

M: Good carbonation on this beer. It does seem a bit much for the higher alcohol but still goes down smooth.

Overall: I enjoyed this beer. It would be a good lunchtime beer during a break or with a customer but it isn't a beer I'd go to first if given other options.

Hazey bronze color, about two fingers thick foam that recedes to a thick film. Bubbling is pretty good and the film leaves a little lacing after each sip.

Faintly toasted orange peel hop aromas mix with toasted caramel and biscuit malts. classic aroma.

Mineraly orange peel hops upfront and dissipates in its intensity as the beer flows over the tongue. The finish is dominantly bitter though. The malt is a subbued bread crust, water crackers, and biscuits. Dominant bitterness overall.

The mouthfeel is a little chalky and dry. But minus is alcohol percentage, the flavor is sessionable for sure.

Poured into pint glass from bottle. Has a nice head that lingers. Color is reddish-orange and is very nice.
Odor is bright and floral. Also has some citrus to it.
Taste is of hops and some citrus and a little malt as well. This beer seems to be pretty well balanced and has a nice hops finish to it. Mouth feel is pretty good too! It stays with and and is not too heavy nor does it fade to fast.
Overall a very good American IPA.

A: Golden honey in color. Not murky at all. A very thin head that left a little lacing on the glass.

S: Honey and grapefruit. Tangerine. Smells like dough that is rising. Bready. Pineapple. Some apple too.

T: Bready and pineapple. Citrus on the back with a good amount of bitterness with it. Tangerine rind, grapefruit rind. Hay.

M: Very balanced. It's not terribly thick & chewy, but not thin at all.

O: A good solid brew. Thanks Redliner8!

A - Pours a orange/amber color with hardly any head forming. The beer appears to be carbonated well and has some light lacing.

A - Slight hop and caramel malt. Nice smell but not extremely aromatic. Kinda one note hop character.

T - Slight hop bitterness is balanced nicely with some sweet malt.
Good tasting beer.

M - Good carbonation, light to medium in body.

O - Nice beer but not outstanding. Good session beer.

Beer poured from bottle into a Nonic pint-shaped glass

A - Beer pours with a nice and frothy looking off-white colored head; about one finger in size; holds very well; body has a dark amber/copper colored body and is well carbonated; slightly below average lacing, not very sticky

S - Caramel malt nose, very strong; touch of pine and grass; creamy caramel goodness; touch of fruit, almost like cherry; apricot; pleasant citrus notes

T - Beer flavor loses much of the caramel goodness; starts somewhat malty, but quickly changes into a bitter, pale ale, packed with dry hopped flavor; has a watery flavor at the front of the sip; where's the malt?; strong grapefruit and citrus sourness; grass and pine water

M - Tastes thin, looks viscous, weird combo; extremely bitter feel on the tongue; lingering bitter aftertaste and wash over the back of the tongue, leaves nothing on the front, no flavor - kind of watery

D - This beer makes an easy drink for all IPA lovers, but really needs to have a stronger malt flavor profile at the beginning of the sip to help enhance the drinking experience; almost like the brewers focused so much on the hops and left it to chance with the malt taste, kind of a let down after taking a couple of really good caramel scents

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a huge amount of creamy/fluffy, long-lasting head. Great lacing. An excellent-looking beer.

S: A lot of hops in the aroma, with some fruit and malt as well.

T: As it was with the smell, the hops dominated the flavor. Very bitter and very forceful. There were also traces of malt, caramel, citrus (grapefruit), and a little yeast. A solid, very lively flavor.

M: A well-carbonated beer with a dry, bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An excellent, well made, and slightly unusual IPA. Very drinkable.

A - Pours with one finger of off-white foam on top of a hazy, amber-brown body. The head settles at a moderate pace and leaves nice lace on the glass.

S - Sweaty, musty hop aromas with a bit of pine and lots of caramel and toffee malt in the background.

T - Sweet malt up front with notes of caramel and toffee. Some pine and citrus hop flavors come out in the middle and blend nicely with the sweet malt. The beer finishes with lost of sugar and dark bread as well as moderate bitterness to balance.

M - A moderately thick body, average carbonation, and a sweet finish.

D - This is a sweet, malty "east coast" IPA that reminds me in many ways of DFH 90min. The malt is just as prominent as the hop character, though things come out pretty balanced in the finish.
