Named after the often-foggy New England island of Nantucket where it was first brewed, Grey Lady is a wheat ale brewed with lemon peel, chamomile, coriander, other spices and natural flavors. At 4.0% ABV, it’s crisp, light and full of unique taste.

I'm a fan of wheat beers, but I was pretty disappointed with this one. Not much on the nose, and the mouthfeel was watery with mild carbonation. Poor lacing. Hints of citrus and coriander as is routine with wheat beers but even Blue Moon is better than this one.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazed yellow color with a small head of white foam. The head fades very fast leaving a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell -The aroma is heavy of a wheat bread and coriander smell mixed with a bit of orange and grain. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a clove and yeast.
Taste – The taste begins with a light flavor, but strongest of a wheat bread and orange taste. Mixed with these flavors are some spice flavors of coriander and clove, along with a bit of lemon and banana. As the taste advances some light hay and a bit of lemongrass come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather crisp and easy natured taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and thin with a moderate carbonation level. A bit higher carbonation may have been better, but overall, the feel is pretty decent for the light abv and style.
Overall – A rather easy drinking brew. Nothing too exceptional, but a nice more session like brew none the less.

12 oz bottle from Halftime. Golden pour, slightly cloudy, imitial bubbly head fades to flat. Still fairly active carbonation. Aroma is light savory, coriander, wheat. Taste leads with the savory notes, coriander, clove, a nice mildly sweet wheat base underneath.

I decided to try this again after a long time, but my memory was right. It looks fine, but has a somewhat unpleasant smell - a little musty and unappetizing. The taste is watery - nothing to distinguish it. Some describe it as "crushable", whatever that really means. Yes you could down a few, but there are so many better options.
I bought the mix pack of cans, so we'll see what the others are like.

Had a single draft in Hyannis at ferry. My 6th brew from these guys. Not a fan.

I picked up a 12 oz bottle of this beer for the online wheat tasting event, probably havent purchased a Cisco beer in years. But lets see what we get out of this bottle.
Pouring the cold bottle into my weiss glass. the beer pours a fairly clear golden color with minimal fizzy bleached white head to about 1 cm and then quickly fading to nothing. Several active streams of carbonation rise towards the surface, but no more foam.
Aroma is some light coriander and clove notes with a little orange citrus. Nose is very mild overall, but isnt bad for the style, just sort of barely there.
First sip reveals a light body with smooth texture, almost a little watery with very fine and slightly tingly carbonation. Physical traits make this beer a crusher for a hot day.
Flavor is similar to nose, very mild. I get some bready notes a bit of orange and the finish has some coriander that lingers. Finish is dry and the beer is gone without leaving much evidence that it was consumed.
No flaws, but this brew could definitely use some more umph on nose and flavor.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a wispy head that fades quickly. Yeast, cloves and spices in the nose. Fairly modest carbonation but on point. Flavor is yeasty with a bit of breadiness and somewhat assertive spices. Overall, a pretty solid beer that's refreshing on a hot day. I liked it and at $10.99 a sixer it's not a bad deal.

Poured from a bottle. The initial pour had a rapidly rising head and a decent bit of carbonation and a nearly perfectly clear opacity. The process of letting the head settle (and watching it fold back into the beer itself) was interesting and made the clear opacity transition into a something hazy and opaque with a pale yellow coloration. The carbonation and head more-or-less disappeared once the process completed.
The scent comes across as pretty clean, something akin to a weak earl grey tea with a bit of banana and some yeasty notes coming on strong as the temperature warmed. Taste is similarly crisp and a bit spicy with a bit of sharpness from the carbonation -- especially if one lets it linger. Feel is a bit thin. Enjoyable overall, especially after getting back from a longer walk.
