Notes/Commercial Description:
The name "Grey Lady" comes from the nickname for the often-foggy island on which it is brewed. This hazy, Belgian-style Wit emits a complex nose with sophisticated notes.

12 oz.

Pours a light golden yellow, hazy, with a white head that dissipates quickly.

Smells like sweet lemonade and coriander.

Tastes of sweetish lemon and lemongrass with some white grape, coriander, wheat malt and light tart green apple. All the flavors are very light and subtle.

Medium to light body with light soft carbonation over the tongue.

Strangely drinkable. The flavor is odd, different from other wits I've had. Very easily sessionable and thirst quenching in warm weather. Falls short in the flavor; not the profile but the potency. It feels a little watered down. Otherwise, quite good.

A: Pours a hazy bright light/lemon yellow in color. The beer pours with a finger tall white head that reduces to a small patch of extremely thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal lacing is observed.

S: Light aromas of wheat and lemon/citrus.

T: The taste is similar to the smell but a little more intense. Moderate flavors of lemon/citrus along with some lighter notes of wheat.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Very easy to drink, very enjoyable, and very refreshing. This is a sessionable beer and a really good one for a hot summer day.

A: half finger head on a cloudy pale gold body. nice lacing.

S: peppery zest, clove, pale malts and lemon custard sweetness. earthy hops.

T: this one is very very bland with very mild wheat and pale malts.

M: light body and moderate to high carbonation. refreshing.

Overall: This one is almost tasteless. It is refreshing but there is almost nothing to say about the flavor.

A - Pours with a small head of white foam on top of a clear, golden body. The foam settles fairly quickly and leaves light lace on the glass.

S - A lightly spicy aroma of coriander and black pepper with some bready malt.

T - Slightly tart wheat up front with some lemony notes. Coriander and pepper in the middle with a finish of bready malt, light bitterness and lingering zesty lemon notes.

M - Medium-thick body, moderately high carbonation, and a slightly dry finish.

D - This is a pretty standard wit, which is to say that it is lightly spicy, drinkable, and little else. Not great, but if you want something mild and inoffensive it would work.

Into a tulip glass, color was a dull opaque pastel yellow, with a skim of lasting foam on the surface. Spotty halo of lace dots the glass.

Citrusy lemon orange zest blend, noticeable coriander in the aroma. Light and fresh impression. Taste is similar, citrusy and dry, crisp and lightly tart, dry wheaty aftertaste. Feel is slightly watery, but it's zesty and quenching. Overall enjoyable, and something i'd seek out again in sixer form. Seems tailor made for warm spring and summer afternoons.

Right when I opened and poured this, it jumped out as a summer beer. The color is a yellowish summer looking tint. And the smell has a lemony citrus smell that really is similar to other summer beers.

The carbonation was very present, and it had good retention.

The taste (as many others have said) is very unique. The citrus and herbal taste is not something that you get with a lot beers.
A correander taste was definetly noticable.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a yellow color and a hazy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A decent enough aroma of coriander, citrus, and some malt.

T: Tasted of coriander, oranges, malt, and a little wheat. The real problem is that this is a somewhat unbalanced flavor. Not bad, but just kind of unfocused.

M: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light-bodied.

O: This is one of those beers that's not bad, but doesn't quite rise above the fray.
