Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A - The beer has a deep amber hue while the head is very chunky and lasting. It seems to have the perfect look of a pumpkin ale. Lots of lacing.
S - I might as well be in a pumpkin patch. However its not an artificial pumpkin scent; its very much the real thing and a good thing at that. Some light hints of nutmeg are roaming around as well.
T - Big robust malt character tasting very much of ripe pumpkins with some faint nutmeg spiciness. There's almost a vine-like flavor to it, as though you're tasting every part of the pumpkin. I don't believe Cisco added any kind of concentrate to the beer and that definitely shows. This tastes and feels like a true pumpkin ale. Bitterness is present, a quality some more mainstream pumpkin ale drinkers might not prefer. Ends with flavors similar to dark breads and finishes semi dry.
M - Medium to full bodied; my bottles seemed slightly over carbonated.
O - A good and very natural tasting pumpkin ale. This will be a welcomed addition to my refrigerator each Fall.
