From a 750 ml into a tulip.

A-The beer pours a cloudy, pale-hued golden color with some visible carbonation. The head is short-lived, thin white foam. No lacing.

S-The smell is quite tart with a slightly lactic, earthy funk. I detect some apricot, unripe apples, and a bit of oak.

T-The taste is also tart from start to finish. The brew is highly acidic with flavors of white grapes, unripened apples, some lemon, and a touch of funky oak. I find it difficult to pick out unique flavors, but there is a sort-of sour white wine note to the beer.

M-Feel is light to medium in body with a refreshing hit of carbonation. The finish is long lasting and sour.

O-I enjoyed this beer and I think other sour fans will, as well. There is nice, almost-geueze-like quality to this beer with the tart flavor, milder ABV, and bubbly mouthfeel. It would score higher, but the flavors are not as complex or distinguished as my favorite sours. Lack of complexity notwithstanding, I would readily drink this again.

Not much oomph off the cork release. Pours pretty flat with a quick and disappearing white lace. Pale yellow.

Bang up sour assault! Some sweetness, straw, fruity, oak and briny.

Sour tasting, like licking the face of a fresh cut lemon. Sitting with this awhile more oak and wine qualities emerge. Definite funk to it.

Medium body that is flat. Dry finish.

A sours sour. I needed time to become acquainted with this. Not overly complex but that's fine. I would buy again.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head that reduces to a ring on top rather quickly. Little bits of white lace form on the glass.

S: Very funky and musty with some nice sour lemon, apple, white grapes, and vinegar.

T: Nice sour lemon flavor upfront with some green apple and white grapes mixed in. The oak comes out as does a nice lactic sourness. There is a bit of funk, but not has much as the aroma, the flavor profile is much more fruity.

M: Closer to medium than light bodied with medium to high carbonation, slightly dry finish.

O: A really nice wild ale. Not overly sour, but it has a nice level of funk and fruity flavors. Wish their sours were a few dollars cheaper, but will definitely try and grab a few more at some point.

Reviewed from notes, poured into tulip. Hazy yellow gold liquid with a small white head. Smell is funky brett, some oak, green grapes, slightly acidic sourness. Taste is very interesting - not overly sour, some oak, herbal and sugary, cotton candy flavors. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a heavy carbonation. Drinkability was above average, some interesting flavors in this beer. Much different from many of the American Wilds I have tried. Would love to get a chance to have this again.

Thanks to jtd1969 for sharing this bottle.

A - cloudy, bright yellow with a soft, thin, white head that has little retention

S - tart lemon, funky

T - lemon, white wine, straw, tart, sour

M - light bodied, crisp, well carbonated

This is a pretty enjoyable beer. It's tart and sour, but it's also fruity and light. This isn't overly complex but it does have some depth. It's worth checking out.

750ml corked and caged bottle poured into Lost Abbey stemware. Shared with schen9303. Reviewed from notes.

A: Standard pour yields a 1 finger white, fluffy head with good retention. Beer is a clear lemon yellow. Lacing is patchy and thick with good cling. Nice legs too. A great looking beer.

S: Nose is apple, pear, and other yellow pulp ascetic fruit. Brett funk lingers lightly in the background. Moderately aromatic and with a pleasant crisp tartness.

T: Opens pear, slight citrus tartness, apple skin, and some cinnamon sugar notes. A bit watery towards the middle year a bit of yeastiness appears. Slightly tart and wheat-like finish with a filmy aftertaste. Pleasant overall but a bit watered down.

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit thin and watery in the mouth and smooth and crisp going down with a lively abrasiveness. Dry finish with a sticky, saliva-enducing aftertaste. Appropriate.

O: The flavor is all there in this beer but its a bit thin and the fruit presence is very muted. I'd hope this would've been a bit more robust flavor-wise. As is, its worth a try, but not really a memorable brew.
