A big thanks to Paul (pwoody11) for sending me this beer almost a year ago. Cheers! Split with my brother-in-law.
Appearance – I had heard reports that this was a completely flat beer as of late. Thankfully, after a vigorous pour, there was about a half finger of slight off white head that dissipates quickly leaving slight lacing.
Smell – Cherry pie, oak, earthiness, slight funk, and floral notes.
Taste – Honestly, it reminds me of cherry pie filling with a slight tartness. Not overwhelmingly sour nor funky, but a nice balance of tart cherries and sweetness. Oak comes in midway through, slight acidity and vinegar, and vanilla. Not overly complex but enjoyable nonetheless on this insanely hot day.
Mouthfeel – Medium bodied, decent carbonation.
Overall – Not my favorite of the series, but I’d drink it again for sure. Rather enjoyed it tonight to be honest.

Got this one in a trade a couple of years ago -- I have to say it's kind of nice to start whittling down the cellar a little bit because moving it certainly sucked. Review is from notes taken on 8/26/2012 and poured from the bottle to a snifter.
Appearance: Pour is a nice, golden hued color, looks like a cider; as no head, and carbonation seems minimal, just a few small bubbles hitting the surface in random intervals -- not what I typically expect in a wild; body has just a touch of haze but is clear beyond that; nothing is left on the sides of the glass.
Smell: Pretty solid, like a lot of other wilds it has that sweet and very tart saccharine smell to it like a SweetTart; obvious cherry presence, very green, very sour and funky.
Taste: Meh, not so hot -- a fair amount of the sweet and tart acidic fruit -- mostly cherry, but hints of some apple as well; a fair amount of caramel maltiness in it as well; almost buttery. Probably going to be a drain pour, as the mouthfeel sucks.
Mouthfeel: Poor. Flat, no life whatsoever except what little bit of pucker comes from the tartness. Slick, gross.
Overall: I feel like I got ripped off in the trade. I store my beers with immaculate care, so I'm not taking the blame on this one. Cisco should apologize.
