2013 label.

Into a Duvel tulip it pours a vibrant dark crimson. Crackling foam and a light haze, lots of active carbonation visible. The head disappears rapidly and there's no lace, otherwise the color is very nice.

Aroma has a cheesy funk to it, a slight minerality, acidic sour cherries; pits and all.

Moderately sour with a bracing acidity that scrubs the palate. Light tannins and cherry skin bitterness, juicy cherry flesh, bright acids. The Flemish red base brings a touch of acetic acid. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Overall this was a nice rendition, makes me wonder if it was possibly inspired by Rodenbach Alexander.

Pour this one cold! Huge pop and quickly bubbling out of the bottle even when chilled, nevermind warm.

This is quite fresh, despite 2013 listed on the bottle - just released really.

A: Pours a deep dark red. Cloudy, can barely see through it. Small tan head that sticks around decently enough. Decent head retention but nothing earth shattering. Almost no lacing at all.

S: Blast of sugary cherry candy and then a quick followup of sour cherries. Light tannic character.

T: No sweet cherries here, this is a face-scrunching sour. I literally cringed at the first sip. Waves of very tasty but very sour cherries. It reminds me of Warheads from my childhood, except little to no sweetness to back it up. Not much else to mention, maybe a little oaky tannins in the finish but it's pretty much just sharp sour cherries from top to bottom.

M: Medium bodied, lower carbonation and very mouth-puckeringly sour.

O: Welp, not much to say other than that this is a very vibrant and sour cherry beer. Clean, crisp, refreshing and hits the tongue like a brick. Pretty simple and straightforward.
