Grade A stuff. Nice selection of beers and food are very deadly combo. This is where I lost my virginity to the limited release keg of Pliny the Younger, so this spot holds closest to my heart, Cheers!

This place is overrated in my opinion. I've visited Eureka a couple of times now and waited 30+ minutes for a table each time. Both times the selection of beer and the food did not live up to the hype.

Eureka is a great place to grab some good food and some good beers. They have (if I remember correctly) around 40 staple taps with 6 or 8 rotating taps. My favorite is the fact that they have Pliny the Elder on tap. Haven't paid much attention to their bottle selection since they are usually a bit out of price range. Food is absolutely wonderful and would recommend the fig marmalade burger. Bartender's are always friendly and know a lot about their trade. Service not at the bar can be a bit slow at times and the place can get very crowded, very quickly.
Overall, you'll have to come back more than once if you want to try from their large selection, and it will be worth it every time.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening, around 5:00. The place was already crowded, but there were a few seats at the bar, which made perusing the extensive tap and bottle selections easy.
With over 20 rotating taps, there's bound to be something for everyone. The offerings were well thought out, with a mix of well known names (Lagunitas, Sierra, Stone, Alesmith, Bruery, New Belgium's Lips of Faith) and local (Eagle Rock, Black Market) breweries. The 3 servers I spoke with were enthusiastic and seemed to have good knowledge of the available beers. Another plus was that servings were in the appropriate glassware.
And how was the food? Burgers, as should be the case here, were the highlights. Large patties, cooked to order, with a variety of add ons, gives you plenty to choose from. For those not interested in a burger, there is a fairly large list of starters, as well as chicken sandwiches and the like. All in our party were pleased with the quality of the food.
While Eureka isn't cheap, the tab for 5 averaged $20 each, with beers. Happy hour goes until 6pm everyday, so go early and save a buck per pour.
All in all, Eureka is a good addition to the downtown Claremont dining, and craft drinking, scene. Give it a try!

I have been a few times, I think this place is great!I came here two days in a row! I like sitting at the bar rather than getting a table. Bartenders Hillary and Billy are very friendly and willing to strike up a conversation when times allows (this is a busy bar). The service is better at the Bar than at the tables. They have one of the best taps list in the area. There regular tap list is great and the rotating tap list great! There selection of IPA is great, sometimes they will have a Sour on tap. In the last month I have had Russian River Supplication and Telegraphy Brewing Co.'s Obscura Vieja, Pliny the Elder, Lagunitas Holiday's Sucks, Sierra Nevada Golden Estate They The food is awesome! I have tried something different every time I have come here. The Fig Marmalade Burger is awesome and the staff always recommends it. The Cowboy Burger is good the onion straws give the burger a unique flavor that most bbq burgers don't have. The wait for a table can be long, sometimes up to an hour, you can always squeeze in at the bar.

I recently went to this burger place because I heard they had some great IPA's on tap such as Pliny the Elder. I had the original Eureka burger and it was pretty good nothing to write home about; but still good. When it came to the beers I sat there for a few minutes deciding what I wanted and since I had to drive and couldn't drink too much I knew I could have two beers at most. I ended up getting the Hercules DIPA and the Mission IPA. The former was awesome with the latter tasting pretty good. The place is pretty pricey and if I am paying 6 bucks and up for a beer I want it to at least be 12 ounces yet they served my IPA's in a 10.5 ounce tulip glass.
Overall I would go back but it's not a place I plan on frequenting often.

Atmosphere - Very nice decor, awesome wrap-around patio. A great place to sit on a warm day and drink great beer. Very kid friendly. My kid runs around the patio while we're enjoying our beers and nobody minds. In fact, the servers will interact with him, bring him lemonade, etc. So cool.
Quality - Top notch. Beer served in the right glass. Beer poured and handled properly.
Service - Also top notch. Everyone that works there is really friendly and *very* enthusiastic about beer. After a couple of visits, they know you by name and will recommend beers that they know you will like. Food and beer come out quickly.
Selection - Beer selection is stellar. About 25 or so rotating taps from Russian River, Lagunitas, The Bruery, Great Divide, etc. Plus a small bottle list of rarer beers (Mikkeller, The Bruery, etc.).
Food - Food selection is great. Maybe 10 or so different gourmet burgers, including lamb, turkey, bison, and an excellent veggie patty. Good appetizers, kid's menu, salads, etc.
Value - Burgers (with fries or other side) are about $10. Beers are in the $5 - $7 range depending on the rareness and ABV of it.
Overall a wonderful place. It's my favorite place to go in Claremont and I'm typically there a couple of times per week.

Finally conviced the wife to come with me for a nice late lunch on Sunday. Was also kid friendly so that was a plus.
Atm- A very nice large open floor plan inside and out. Bar area is a bit seperate from dining which is nice. Lots of wood and metal going on. Dimly lit except when the big windows have the blinds up.
Quality- High marks for the quality of beers both on tap and in bottles from the sign I saw. Parabola, Black Betty to name a couple. The tap list was nice as well. Lots of good beers and even local beer.
Service- Nice enough service, the front hostess was a bit quiet and not too inviting. Our server was hospitable and quick.
Selection- A decent tap list with a couple selections from each type of beer. A few things were out that I wanted to try but that was okay.
Food- My exact quote to my wife," Honey is I kill someone and end up on death row, I found my last meal"
Value- I tend to look at restaurants and bars menus before I go to know what I am looking at $$ wise. This was pretty standard. A burger was 7 and a beer was 4 during happy hr. Big 16 oz pours as well.

Visited a couple of times now, enjoy this spot. Located in trendy college town of Claremont. In the newer section called the Packing House.
Dimly lit lounge feel, kinda cool. Not large, can fill up quickly. Nice bar area with a good amount of taps on hand. Beer fairly priced but food a little pricy. Quality and selection of food is good though.
They seem to rotate taps with new brews from time to time. Decent bottle selection too. I recommend if you're looking for a good burger to enjoy with your beer.

I was very excited to have this place open several months ago as I lived just a few miles down the street in San Dimas. Now I've since moved behind the Orange Curtain, but I'm still in the area every so often.
The place is quite nice, but that's what you expect in Claremont. A pretty cool decor on the interior, almost all wood. They've got the low lighting thing going on as well.
I've generally had good service here, though I will say that on the whole, the staff doesn't know much about beer. But hey, at least they do a good job.
For the most part, the beer selection is pretty good and they get a pretty good rotation of beers in there. Lots of stuff from the local breweries, but some stuff from outside the area (Great Divide, etc.).
The food is good, but expensive. The meals (burgers and fries) are all around/above $10. I understand that they're higher end, but that's still kind of a lot. At least the beers are decently priced.
