A four-time medal winner, this London-style sweet stout is bold, aggressive and deep black in color with a rich, roasted flavor from a generous addition of UK Chocolate malt and roasted barley.

Had Iron Horse Stout at Big River Grille & Brewing Works, Chattanooga (Downtown), on draft into nonic pint.
Pours apparently absolute black but deep brown when backlit, with 1/2-finger light-tan head, which quickly dissipates to a persistent ring, leaving only a few specks of lace. Aroma of a little hop spice off pour, then some sweet milk, and some hop spice as warms. Begins with some carbonation bite, then sweet malt, and a little roasted barley, with a bit of a cola feel, but only a bit, over the nice underlying chocolate malt, which carries into a biting but not bitter finish.
A rather good facsimile of a London-style stout, actually.

16oz draft at the Hamilton Point location. Black in color with khaki head. The aroma is roasted malt. The taste is semisweet and roasty malts with a slight caramel note. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, good. Very generic, but no glaring flaws.

On tap at BRG in Chattanooga.
Nearly opaque brown body with red-orange highlights at the edges. Good tan head and lacing.
Fine aroma with dark roasted, but not burnt, grains. The flavor carries a hint of burnt grain; just the right amount to round out the dark roast flavor. There's a touch of spicy hops too.
The body is smooth and light-medium.
O: recommended.

Appearance: black body, and an off-white head that leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Sweet, dark chocolate covered cherries. Smoke.
Taste: initial taste is smoky; the smoke continues through the taste. Then, I detect dark-roasted coffee behind the chocolate malt.
Mouthfeel: light to medium. Carbonated.
Semi dry finish.

If drinking this beer at Bluewater, next to Big River Brewery, pair it with the tuna sashimi app. The blackening seasoning compliments the sweet and roasted flavor of this UK chocolate malt and roasted barley.
