This is a nice refreshing IPA that has filled many growlers for this household. It has a nice light amber color and pours a good head out of the growler into a pint glass. There is good hoppiness and piney flavors integrated with some nice maltiness. Not earth shaking but I am sure glad it is readily available for filling growlers. It has made for some great Sunday afternoons.

Appearance: a light copper color, with a slightly off-white head and lots of bubbles sticking to and streaming up the glass.

Aroma: Sweet hops (as I would describe it, a gummy-worm taste-smell), and very piney. I detect a tad bit of malt.

Taste: Dry, piney and floral hops at the front, some nice maltiness in the quick middle, and then a super-dry and piney hop kick at the end.

Body: typical fluffy ale body, with a malty undertone.

Finish: dry

Overall: Very well balanced with the hops. Not too bitter; not too sissy for an IPA. As somone who enjoys IPAs but who prefers malt-heavy beers, I have to say that this beer strikes the best balance given the other IPAs I've had in the past. Yet, it isn't too watery or subdued, as is the case with SweetWater IPA.

A: Good sized white head sits on a beer that is clear and dark golden in color. The head retention is very good and shows an attractive lace.

S: Aromas feature flowery hop notes with some citrus background.

T: The taste is a nice balance of the first malt impressions followed soon by hoppy bitterness. The hop flavors are of pine and citrus.

M: Somewhat thick body with an average carbonation feel, the beer finishes crisp and bitter.

O: Overall a very good take on the IPA from Chattanooga. I'd have this one again
