Stopped in for a night cap, a little too late for food unfortunately. Wife had an Oil of Gladness, I had a What'Cha What'Cha What'Cha Want. Tap list ia extensive, with exclusives, limited releases, and other goodies. Nice bottle selection, too. Pub tenders were friendly, fast, and helpful. Can't wait to get back and try the food.

Stopped for lunch on our travels thru town. We were a bit early, so lots of room to sit, some tables up front and more of a dining room in back. Solid beer list with good rep of Michigan brews, awesome food and prompt. Service...great place, glad we Went.

7 Monks is a must stop spot in Traverse City. The bar itself is nice and sleek with a very laid back vibe. The beer taps are above average and probably the best in northern Michigan. The food is highly recommended. The burgers and frites are excellent! The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions. Great place. Highly recommended.

V: There's a thriving live music scene in Traverse City, and 7 Monks hits it right. Professional, upscale crowd, interspersed with agro-hipsters from just outside of town.
Q: Exceptional beer selection. I'll repeat myself momentarily. They seem to have a line on some really hard to get stuff, including Anchorage, Prairie, Evil Twin, etc. Local fresh beer selection is excellent too.
Service: Always friendly. Jason (Manager) is a great beer guide, and my regular bartenders Jarrod and Caitlyn rock.
Selection: Their draft list is epic. Expertly curated MI tap list (Shorts, Vivant, Stormcloud, Dark Horse, etc), and a bottle selection that is downright surprising. Ask Jason to see the list sometime.
Food: Always consistent and great. Local produce emphasized. My fav is the Abbey Burger.
All said, one of the very best taprooms in North America.

The beer selection was good. They had a very good offering of wet hopped ales the night of my visit. The place was a little dark and the music was a little loud for me. I am not that old, but I like to have a conversation with friends in a place like this. If I wand to get my groove on, I would go to a club. Over all a good spot to try some good beers.

Its a blend of tourists and locals but the food is creative and good and the beer selection is outstanding - 46 taps and they sell growlers. They have live music Wednesday nights.

This is an excellent taproom with 40 beers on tap, a beer menu, a good food selection and a very clean and comfortable environment. It does not get any better than this place.
