Large shared bottle.
Pours thick and dark with an excellent head.
Aroma - fruity, funky and moderately strong. Hints of chocolate.
The flavor is fair complex, strong and more sweet than bitter.
Overall: funky, strong and interesting.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark brown color with ruby red hues along the sides of the glass.
Light foamy lacing roamed around the glass after a one finger white foamy head dissipated.
The smell had some sour cherry, sweet cherry, light apples, a lil' bit of maple, and ends with some woodiness.
The taste was sweet and sour coming apart at times. There's a slight vinegary aftertaste and finish.
The mouthfeel sat about a medium on the body with the alcohol part being noticeable. Carbonation feels good. Sour notes really take hold and pound at my tongue with an appropriate harshness.
Overall, for an American Wild ale, this one hits the marks. I'd have again.
