I wonder if they've changed the recipe or something, because in having this before I joined BA I remember it as pretty bold and strong. That being said I'm not disappointed, but maybe it has gotten milder.
A good dark brown color, maybe a hint of red when held up to the light. Foam quickly dissipated and I didn't see any left on the glass after too long. Definitely some smells of molasses as it warms up, but otherwise nice and beery. The taste is quite good, with some good bitterness, roasted malts, and just a hint of coffee - molasses taste at the end as it warms up. Not too thick on the tongue and overall I enjoyed it and it didn't stay in the glass too long - not because I wanted to quickly finish it but because I wanted to keep tasting it.
Give it a try, but I still keep wondering if they've changed it or if I have.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear deep reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, raisin, prune, toast, toffee, molasses, brown bread, chocolate, light roast, floral, light nuttiness, and toasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark malt notes with moderate fruitiness; and good strength. Taste of caramel, raisin, toast, toffee, brown bread, chocolate, light roast, floral, light nuttiness, and toasted earthiness. Lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, raisin, chocolate, brown bread, light nuttiness, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice balance and complexity of dark/bready malt flavors; with a solid amount of robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice brown ale. Good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.
