Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. No obvious best before date.
A - moderate head that resolves after a couple minutes with a tiny bit of lacing. Looks a little darker than I thought it would since it's listed as a "lager" on the bottle; looks kind of like a Red or an Amber. No visible carbonation.
S - not much to smell. A little bit of caramel malts, but that's about it.
T - nice sharp initial tones with some citrus-inspired hops resolving into nice round malt flavors. A bit of residual bitterness the endures.
M - again, a heavier than expected mouthfeel with a bit of creaminess offset by significant carbonation.
D - this one is a beauty and really drinkable. The hops are nicely balanced and it's surprisingly smooth. I could easily have more than one of these!
This is a very solid beer. I've been trying a mixed pack of beers in the Coney Island brand and they're all good, and this one is one of the best. I would definitely drink this year round.
