12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet malt, a little vegetal, with some earthy metallic bitterness.

The flavor is some sweet bready malts with grassy noble hop bitterness in the finish. A little rye comes out as it warms. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with spritzy carbonation.

Overall, an OK pils.

This beer pours a hazy pale golden color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes into minimal lacing. The aroma is of caramel, and sweet malt. This is the sweetest smelling pilsner I have ever encountered. The taste is sweet too, but there is a hint of hops to it whereas there are no hops in the aroma. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with carbonation that is quite low for the style. Overall, this beer has some pilsner aspects, but it really is a poor example of the style, and a poor beer in general. I will not be drinking this beer again.

Had on tap at Grill One Eleven.

Appearance was a very golden color with a white head, but there was a haziness that I wasn't expecting from a pilsner.

Smell was confusing with a slight perfume to it.

Taste was not at all what I was expecting from a pilsner. Really drank more like an ale with some of that perfume coming through in the flavor too.

Mouthfeel was nice and light and easy to drink.

Overall a good beer just not at all what I would expect from the style.

22 ounce growler fill from New Beer. Surprisingly weak offerings this time around. The dog days of summer.

Poured into my Rare Vos tumbler. Inch of combover white head, that settles into a scummy broth over a filtered, dull honey amber body.

Smell is sharp with spicy herbal hops, just a touch orange rind, along with some alcohol & biscuit notes backing it up.

Feel is a little heavier then I expected, but not much additional flavor beyond the typical pils. Subtly sweet grain upfront, lingering bittersweet herbals right after, a little honey-ish, with a long-lasting pancake batter finish. Carbonation is alright.

I could of grabbed a couple extra suspect singles, or filled this. I'm usually a pretty generous guy when it comes to talking up Shmaltz, but this one is neither clean enough nor interesting enough to revisit. A decent beer for the hour though. It's pretty ugly out there.

Pours a crystal clear light copper with visible carbonation. Decent white head with light lacing.

S: Aroma of grass, dried hay and pale malts

T: Mediocre pilsner. Hardly any hop presence, not much malt character.

M: Light in body but relatively heavy for the style I felt. medium carbonation

O: Not overly impressed. Drinkable but not a great example IMO
