An interesting brew, not the standard pale ale one usually finds, and a good change of pace beer, in more ways than one.
Pours a dark brown in my tulip glass with a bit of a flat head, and some decent lacing on the glass. I have a weak nose, but having trouble picking up much in the aroma department. Taste is an interesting blend of slightly caramel and nutty malt, with a earthy hop bitterness. I said it was interesting, but I didn't totally like it. Others may feel differently. Give them credit for a unique pale ale.
The malt seemed a tad stale. Maybe I just had an older six-pack, but without a date on the label, who knows. Decent level of carbonation and heft to the brew, and smooth enough for to get a decent drinkability score.
I'll probably have another some day.
