Very nice malt and hop bills, how am I not going to snag this one? I appreciate that this brewery often prints these details on the label. Pours a reddish amber color, maybe just on the orange side, with copious amounts of beige foam. Smells like fresh citrus, rock candy, and brown sugar. Some people find the hops underwhelming here, perhaps because the list evokes images of palate wrecking. Keep in mind that dry hopping increases aroma rather than bitterness, folks. I find the hops tasty enough, personally ... I get ample Centennial dank fermented citrus pulp, peach, pineapple, and papaya, along with blackberry and black tea. This latter flavor develops nicely as you sip, and a pine flavor also develops but does not reach epic proportions. Fine by me, this is not an IPA, although it does compare favorably with some of the so-called "session IPAs" I've tried. The malts are quite wonderful, with a little molasses, toasted crust, and the sweet elements from the aroma in decent balance with the hops, probably edging the latter out, truth be told. Body is on the light side, with a sparkling crisp finish that lingers with just enough tea-like bitterness to prevent this from being a true session option but who cares. Toasty yet tangy, fruity yet reasonably bitter ... Great brew all around.

Pours a very dark cloudy orange, almost a light brown. A slight white foaming head. Very slight hoppy wheat aroma with a hint of caramel, not getting much from it. Medium mouthfeel, seems very shallow upfront, then going into a hoppy bite, with a caramel malty finish.

Pours a slightly hazy, watery brown with a frothy quarter inch cream head that lingers.

Muted citrus, resin, and toasted, nutty caramel malt form the aroma. There's a hint of chocolate.

Grapefruit pith and lemon underlie a strong, nutty malt backbone, becoming a touch resiny and bitter in the dry finish.

Body is moderate to a bit thin, with moderate carbonation and a fairly stringent finish.

Hops and malt are fairly well balanced. The astringent finish is somewhat offputting. I'm not a huge lemon fan, but the malt backbone is nice.
