Pours a slightly hazy, watery brown with a frothy quarter inch cream head that lingers.
Muted citrus, resin, and toasted, nutty caramel malt form the aroma. There's a hint of chocolate.
Grapefruit pith and lemon underlie a strong, nutty malt backbone, becoming a touch resiny and bitter in the dry finish.
Body is moderate to a bit thin, with moderate carbonation and a fairly stringent finish.
Hops and malt are fairly well balanced. The astringent finish is somewhat offputting. I'm not a huge lemon fan, but the malt backbone is nice.

On tap at Half Pint in Rochester, NY.
Pours a very light clear copper, with a half inch head, and a lots of lacing down the glass.
Smells like pine, grass, some light citrus, and malt.
The taste is similar. Manages to be a pretty earthy/grassy/piney hop blast, while still remaining clean and crisp. Not much noticeable flavor from the malts. Some slight citrus flavors, tastes like grapefruit and a bit of orange.
Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, very crisp mouthfeel, very drinkable.
Not the most knockout pale ale you'll ever have, but still quite tasty.
