Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber.

Pours a clear darker gold with a one finger white head. Really good head retention with decent lacing.

Aroma is much better than many other IPA's I have had. Lots and lots of pine along with a touch of citrus. Really a nice blend of earth and citrus here. A little bit of light wood too with pinecones.

The flavor doesn't quite live up to the aroma. More pine than citrus but not nearly as strong as was present in the aroma. Moderate to high bitterness throughout along with some more wood and pine resin. Finish is moderately sticky with bitterness lingering long after all flavors have subsided.

Overall, a better than average IPA. It is definitely hop-centric with malt being nearly undetectable but the hops in this really work well. One to pick up every now and then.

Bottle opened on 11.5.12.

A - Pours a hazy medium orange with a two inch cream-colored foamy head with solid retention.

S - Orange, sweet carmel malt and some subtle pine.

T - Same as the nose, but more pumped up. Orange, pine, malt.

D - Good carbonation and a bit thin with a light body.

O - Light, subtle hops, malty.

Been enjoying this for the last few weeks and finally got around to reviewing it

Poured from a bomber into a Stone Nonic Pint Glass:

A-orange, copper, transluscent, decent head and great lacing

S-really good floral IPA, very nice, mellow and not over-powering

T-this is where it really stands out, the taste is just off the charts. I love really fresh IPA's and this is just right in my wheelhouse, with a wonderful sweet finish

M-also very good

O-currently my favorite new beer, l'chaim (said the Irish boy)

Slightly hazy, dark copper pour. Two and a half finger off white soapy, sticky head. Lacing is excellent.

Bright citrus hops, dank earthy hops, slight caramel and toasted malts. There is a slight dandelion grassy note to this.

Bright citrus and a slight soap taste from the citra. Light toasted malt, caramel and bitter pine finish.

Light body, slightly chewy with decent carbonation.

Clear, amber colored body, with a big, two finger thick head full of craggy foam. The smell was very hoppy indeed, evoking grapefruit and mandarin orange slices. The taste was a citric and bitter affair, and very clean. The malt backbone was a little nondescript, and I think this could have used a bit more body. If this was ever tweaked up to a DIPA, it would be phenomenal.

The 2012 Edition- poured from a 22 oz bottle into a nonic tumbler; pours a relatively clear golden copper color with 2.5 fingers of off-white head, decent retention, a few spots of lacing.

Smell is wonderful- hops of all varieties. Pine, some mint, floral, grassy, and a little bit of grapefruit. Fantastic smell. Thank you for dry-hopping people.

Taste is great also- a good amount of bitterness, however (that's my thing, you'll have to decide if it's yours). Slight bitterness plus a nice floral/herbal hop taste up front, followed briefly by some nice malt sweetness, then some grapefruit, then a lot more bitterness, finishing out with some pine and a hint of mint.

Mouthfeel is very nice also- light to medium bodied, moderately carbonated, a nice dose of resin. This is a fantastic single IPA- couldn't recommend it more if you want hops but not a headache.

This poured out as a deep gold color with a minor hazy look to it. The head was really nice looking, and white as fresh snow. The retention and lacing were pretty good here too. The smell of the beer has a decent hop profile but nothing too exciting. The taste of the beer is about the same as the smell, it's hoppy but doesn't really stand out much on it's own. The mouthfeel of the beer is pretty good, nice carbonation level with a decent body to it. Overall it's not something that I was too thrilled about but still happy to have tried it.

Poured from 22oz bottle into Guinness-branded tulip-style pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a small off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves behind spotty lace.

Smell: Mostly floral hop aromas with touches of citrus and pine.

Taste: Begins citric and somewhat sweet, rounding out to bready character and finishing with a decent piney bitterness alongside sweet fruits. I expected a bit more hop "oomph" from this beer.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with balanced carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: A good IPA, but one that falls short of being great. This is definitely worth a try and is a beer I would drink again, but it isn't the best out there by any means.
