I had a great time at Lizardville. Great selection of beers nicely arranged by beer styles you can pick your beer and they can flash chill it in about 6 min. so you can drink it at the bar. The staff was great. Very knowledgeable about both the beer and whiskey. There are 100 different whiskeys to choose from. How awesome it was to be sipping whiskey smoking a Cigar while browsing their beer selection. The whiskey selection is incredible. If you happen to enjoy great whiskey as well as craft beer this place is perfect.

You must go to Lizardville if you find yourself in the area and want a great craft beer. Hundreds of beer selections available and any time. Lizardville also has a rotating tap of 8 beers at any given point. They usually do a great job of finding 8 different styles of beer so there is a beer for any kind of beer aficionado. The staff at Lizardville is also extremely knowledgeable. They know their product well which is impressive considering the selection of beer on the premises. If beer isn't your thing or you want to branch out and try something different, they have about 200 different kinds of whiskey and once again, the knowledgeable staff can help you find something which will suit you. I really enjoy the atmosphere, but you must understand what this place is all about. It's about having a fun, relaxing time amongst good people and great beer. If you want to go to a loud bar and drink your Bud Light, you might as well keep walking. When it comes to the menu, don't assume this is your average bar fare. The menu has something for everyone and the food is of high quality. In conclusion, I would have tried only a fraction of the beers that I have tried if it weren't for Lizardville. I cannot say enough about how much I love this place. It's a great experience.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said this place is one of the best in the country. Great selection of beers nicely arranged by beer styles you can pick your beer and they can flash chill it in about 6 min. so you can drink it at the bar if you want or take it to go. They have 8 taps they just had a New Holland event a couple days earlier with Blue Sunday, Envious, The Poet, Imperial Hatter so some of NH was still on tap. They also had a nice selection of Cigars and over 100 whiskeys to choose from.

This place is my favorite beer destination in Cleveland. The bottle list is comparable to the best in the country, and their prices are very reasonable. Excellent draft selections, great patio, great whiskey selection, nice place for a cigar, I can think of nothing bad to say about Lizardville. It is a MUST stop every time I am in Northeast Ohio. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly, and they also have had some great collaborative events with breweries. I went last summer and they had Pizza Port on draft, which is not even sold in Ohio (leftover from the Clev beer fest).

Visited Lizardville on a business trip to the Cleveland area. This place was recommended to me by a fellow BA. Was not sure what to expect, but I sure was thrilled with what I found when I got there. Very cool setup. Nice bottle shop with the selection separated by style. Easy to find what you are looking for. Nice size bar with about 8 beers on tap. Very good selection on tap as well. Was not planning on eating there, but after looking at the menu decided to order the sliders. They were made with grass-fed beef and were delicious. This place is also a whiskey/scotch bar which was pretty cool
If you are in the area, I would highly recommend going by here. The bottle selection was great, the beers on tap were solid, and the food was excellent.

I was greeted by Heather before I could even get my bearings about the place. She could tell I was there to shop. She showed me the "shopping carts" and then went right in to the beer. There was a section with remaining Xmas beers and then every thing else was sorted by style.
At first glimpse, this was a small store, but then another wall of beer came in to view and the back seating area. They had everything Ohio has to offer in the Cleveland area. The only thing missing was Three Floyds which has made a small resurgence in the area. I was after Epic Brewing from Utah and they had the most I've seen anywhere. They also have a great selection of European takes on American styles.
Pricing was a little tough to find at first. Each beer has a little placard with pricing, abv, and other information below it. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy. I looked at the first few prices of what I had picked out which were more than reasonable, so I stopped looking at them and went to just shopping. By bill was probably $40-50 less than I expected when I had checked out.

Great place to stop by and pick up a beer, or take a seat and enjoy one. Really cool vibe inside. Pretty big selection of craft beer and very well orginized. Staff has a good knowledge of beer and is very personable. I believe they have 8 taps, and a large selection of bottles in the cooler. Its nice that you can enjoy a bottle off the shelf at the bar. Has a solid web site which is pretty much updated on a regular basis. They also have a terrific selection of whiskey. Looks like they have well over 100 different whiskeys to choose from. Has become my go to spot.

Right next to the Bedford Hghts Winking Lizard location, it's easy to be happy between the two.
Lizardville is nice and new, clean, with lots of wood open shelves. It had low lighting when I went, which added to the feel that you were inside a beer cellar. The place is almost nothing but walls of bottled beer. Most of it isn't anything overly rare, but the selection rivals pretty much anywhere else in the state as far as singles and larger format bottles go. If you want something more unique look in the import section.
The bar is small and crowded, with only one or two bar tenders for the entire establishment on a busy Saturday night. So getting service was a long ordeal.
They only have 6-7 draft lines, which may or may not be showcasing something interesting to me. It seems like it's either full of cool stuff or full of average picks. But I have seen numerous drafts here that I have never seen in the entire state.
They will flash chill and serve any bottle on the shelves. I assumed an upcharge for this and didn't really ask, though if there wasn't this would be the way to go.
If you like liquor the whiskey bar selection is awesome. Some 40+ scotches, about 30 bourbons, 20 whiskies, and some ryes as well. Flights are a good value if you're trying out some stuff.
Some things were priced a little high for my taste, others were cheaper here, and most fell within average.
Overall this place is a homerun on most accounts. If you manage to make it on a night with better drafts you won't want to leave, especially once you start sampling some Four Roses and Heaven Hill bourbon!

I had a great time at Lizardville on 7/7/2011. Heather the bartender was very knowledgeable about beer and very personable. You can pick a beer off the shelf and drink it right there. It is not a food place, they have a meat and cheese placte. The beer selection is top notch. I would highly recommend coming to Lizardville, just in an odd location in Cleveland. Growlers are expensive but, the tap selection is great. It was not crowded but it is a small space, so I could see that changing. I did not try any whiskey but they had a large book of available whiskey.

This was one of our stops during a day of beer touring around the Cleveland area, and certainly our favorite. They opened in April of this year, so it's still a relatively new place. We walked in early on a Saturday night to a fairly hushed atmosphere which picked up as the evening went on. Really, a nice looking bar, half inside and half outside. 400 bottled beers are organized by style on shelves around the periphery of the bar available for on premise consumption or to take home. The bartender told me they have a wine cooler in the back that will chill any beer you select in about 8 minutes. There are also 8 rotating taps which are always changing, all available in pretty cool Lizardville growlers. They're good about updating their website and facebook page with their current selection, something I think that a lot of bars are pretty lazy about. The whiskey selection is incredible. If you happen to enjoy great whiskey as well as craft beer this place is pretty close to perfect. There are 100 different whiskeys to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised to find Stranahan's from Colorado on the menu, my sometimes elusive mistress. We all had a hard time getting over how awesome it was to be sipping whiskey while browsing their beer selection.
The staff was great. Very knowledgeable about both the beer and whiskey. They were extremely friendly and after learning my friend and I are new to the area sent us away with a solid list of other establishments in the Cleveland area they thought we would enjoy.
I really have nothing negative to say about Lizardville, even the prices were fair. The location is a bit odd, a little bit out of the way for those living closer to Cleveland, but it's certainly worth the drive.
