Although Riders Club is small and looks like a shack, a large sign is visible from the street to tell you where it's at. Don't be surpirsed if you haveta park on the street, as the parking provided at Riders Club is minimal (and I mean mininal).

The inside, no surprise, is small. But there's joy inside. A TV playing episodes of old Popeye cartoons, a small outdoor patio, capacity for perhaps 30 people. The taps sit near your face as you place your order at the counter, which the food (and beer) menu are limited on choices. Burgers make up most of the menu, and the extra trimming's you'd like to add are up to you.

The tap selection is small; only eight beers to choose from, and an additional three in the bottle. Oh, but they are good choices, and the taps rotate. Franziskaner, Brouwerij West, Deschutes, and Fullers among others for drafts, and three different trappist breweries in the bottle (Orval, Westmalle, Rochefort). Still, I'd like to see 1) prices for the beers, and 2) don't cheat me with those cheater pint glasses. Despite my short complaint there, I would still say it's a reasonable buy ($5 for Brouwerij West 9, $8.95 give or take for a burger.) The burger came out pretty fast, and while I often complain about grass-fed beef being less tasty, in this case, the burger, complimented with bacon and blue cheese, was truly excellent. It didn't need any condiments!

With a great burger and an interesting, rotatiing selection of beers, Rider's Club would be a great alternative to the unmistakable Pizza Port. Just drive a mile north on El Camino Real.
