I'm hurt and embarrassed from the female store manager or supervisor who racially profiled me because I'm an African American male. She did not want to serve me because a customer who was leaving the store said I smelled like Marijuana as I'm walking in total wine.

According to her all African American males smell like marijauna even though I asked her "do I smell like marijauna? She replied "NO", quote on quote she said it's store policy if a customer complains about another customer they have to fallow up with that and escort the individual out the building so if I randomly say a customer smells like drugs or alcohol that person can't shop there anymore and now I'm banned from the store because some idiot

Keep in mind I just spent over $200 dollars less than 20 mins. ago prior before this altercation at Total wine at the same location, so for some reason they didn't refuse my business because I spent over $200 but I come back to buy a few six pack and Total wine don't want my service because it's a few dollars

Another thing I was working on the clock I'm a private contractor for "Instacart" so i deliver food & liquor etc. to customers daily, I called the redondo police dept. to file a report against "Total Wine" & the employee for that false accusation I'm taking this to court and I hope it get some national press

When the police arrived they're honest with me and they said if she refuse your business you've to go by law, but they also said they don't smell no marijauna on me and if they did I would be arrested for a "dui" because I delivery driver so quote on quote there words were "I believe she singling you out for some odd reason" and they let me go with no problem or warnings

Last thing i would add I've the worst form of asthma, high cholesterol, I'm 33, if I decide to smoke it would literally kill me or send me to the hospital I RECOMMEND NO AFRICQN AMERICAN TO SBOP AT THIS RACIST ESTABLISHMENT, I'VE NEVER HAD T HIS PROBLEM AT BEVMO

It keep coming back to this place.. The selection is awesome for beer geeks and the prices are much lower that your typical trendy/hipster liquor store.

The favorite thing is the tremendous selection of singles to build your own 6 packs. If have discovered many great brews this way. It sucks why you have to but a 6 pack or even a bomber and you don't like it.

always good hours and no parking issues which is always a plus in LA

When I'm in the mood to try new beers or breweries, I tend to gravitate towards Total Wine. As many of you know, they sell singles! I hate to buy 4/6 packs or even bombers when I don't know if I'm going to like a particular beer or not. So, if breweries have 12oz bottles, I'll mix and match them.

I think their selection is pretty diverse. My one pet peeve is that I prefer if they would organize beers by breweries rather than styles.

I randomly visited this Total Wine after a beer tasting at Monkish, and found bottles of Parabola sitting on top of wine barrels. This was about the time that people were scrambling to find some. A pleasant surprise. Bonus points for selection.

The prices are good. This Total Wine is very similar to the Brea store that I visit the most often.

Overall, this is a solid store.

The third Total Wine I have been to yields the same atmosphere and ambiance as the other stores. Service was good when I was there as I had a few questions that were readily answered by staff. The beer section takes up a few aisles with some stuff in the coolers at the back of the store as well. It's the same type deal as the other store with multi-packs, bombers/bigger bottles, and singles available. I scored some stuff I have never seen at my go to Northridge location. Prices here were the same as the other stores more or less (i.e. great prices for most stuff). Pretty far for me to go to all that often but I would definitely be back if I am in the area.

I was right. I knew that it was only a matter of time when Total Wine would invade Southern California after they opened one of the first Cali shops in Tustin just a few years back. The Redondo Beach location, like the others I've visited, is large. It's as big as a warehouse, but unlike other big box shops (cough>Home Depot<cough), it's quite easy to find your way around. The beer is set off in one section of the store, and extends alll tthhheee wayyy doowwnn. Lots upon lots of bottles, no surprises, and a variety of glassware to purchase. And it's all very affordably priced :-)

The beers I spotted were within their sell-by dates, and even the DFH beers were just a few months past it's "brewed on" date. Abita, Stone, Rogue, Dogfish Head, St. Bernardus, Rochefort, Tucher, and don't forget bottles from Mikkeller and Baird's Brewing. Checkout took a little time, but to be fair, there were a lot of shoppers. You won't get in and out as fast as some other stores, but the selection here is top notch.

I think this place opened just a few months ago. It is a great place to buy beer. They have a great selection of imports (German, Belgium, UK, etc.). They have all my favorite California beers (SN, Stone, Lagunitas, etc.). I like that they have six-pack containers in the beer aisle so you can build your own six-pack. Too bad there is no six-pack discount. The prices are very reasonable, usually a few pennies, to a dollar cheaper than BevMo. Plenty of seasonals during this past X-mas holiday. They also carry lot’s of wine.

This is my favorite BIG place to buy beer in my area. They have quite a huge selection, mix a 6 or just individual beer sales and some cool classes on beer. It was better earlier this year when they opened cause there was no limit on "limited" beers and also not as many people knew about this place so things like PtE and other CA favs weren't gone in a 100th of a second. That is the bad, the good, they carry any beer you can get this side of the Mississippi. They may only get a case BUT, they will have it or they can get it for you. Keg prices are awesome and their price in general is very nice. They catch on with "Great beers" and hike the price eventually, but, 85% of the time they are the best price in town. They have great glass wear as well and can get you most things you are looking for. I love Total Wine, just wish they had "Beer Guys/Girls" like BevMo! has, people with a serious passion for beer would be awesome!
