A- Light hazy brown (very much dunkelweizen-like); big, dense off-white head that has very good retention and leaves some lacing on the glass (actually quite less than i expected)
S- Dense but not overpowering smoked aroma with a slightly sweet yeast note in the mix. Some light undernotes of spices (clove) and a hint of fruitiness show up after the head has receded a bit
T- An assertive but never too strong smoky flavour that blends very well with a soft, velvety, wheat malts sweetness, though the beer doesn't actually feel so sweet for a weizen. Then some subtle spicy and banana notes, expecially on the palate. You don't often taste a smoked weizen and this is infact a peculiar range of flavours, but they are nicely balanced
M- Quite light body and moderate carbonation. Very soft and silky on both tongue and palate. A clean, very simple mouthfeel, but somehow very nice
O- Feels like a weizen, tastes similar and yet not. A unique beer, but still a simple, perfectly balanced, easily enjoyable and drinkable one

500 ml bottle into weizen glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy deep reddish brown color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of banana, clove, toast, brown bread, wood smoke, wheat, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with well balanced fruity/spicy yeast, dark/bready malt, and wood smoke notes; with good strength. Taste of banana, clove, toast, brown bread, wheat, wood smoke, herbal, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of banana, clove, toast, brown bread, wheat, wood smoke, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, dark/bready malt, and wood smoke flavors; with a great smoke/yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and moderately crisp/creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice smoked weizen. All around well balanced fruity/spicy yeast ester, dark/bready malt, and wood smoke flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
