I found this place in a tourist info brochure at the hostel i stayed at in Riga and thought I should check it out.
The interior was quite nice with lot's of bar seating and a good amount of tables in the front room and further in the back.
The beer selection was somewhat puzzling. Quality Belgian beer and just straight Belgian beer aren't the same thing. The selection was made up of mostly run of the mill lagers and abbey ales. The prices were good for Belgians and obviously a little cheaper b/c of the region. Of the 15 taps, 4 were out. A few bottles were out as well. Nothing really caught my eye that I can't get at home.
The bartender was unfriendly to say the least and 2 of the staff were on their phones the whole time, texting away. Once I ordered my beer, the bartender took my menu AND bottle away, assumingly to get me to leave when I finished. The menu said they're open until the last person leaves but the bartender told someone they could only have one beer. Very bad service and you could tell they didn't wanna be there.
Overall, if you're desperate for a Belgian beer, this would be the place in Riga. But if you have had most mainstream ones and don't like being treated bad, then avoid it.
I didn't try the food b/c my menu was taken away.
