This watering hole is in the upmarket locales of V M Road, well illuminated, rising to 2 floors. Crowds flock to TBC to unwind after a hard day's work. Atmosphere is casual, abuzz with locals and expats alike. 4 regular taps and 2 seasonals (rotating) will keep any beer enthusiast interested. Lager, Blond, Wheat and Dark being regulars and the Stout and X mas Ale were the seasonal at the time I visited. Decent stuff, worthy I would say. I wish they added some good craft bottles to the fare, it would have added variety. Also, no IPA - a let down. They have a Sri Lankan brewmaster who has studied brewing in Germany at the helm. Food selection is decent, with nibbles, salads, mezze and tapas along with sandwiches and mains as well. Good place to go when you are in Bangalore.

craft beer in india? an alternative to kingfisher and royal challenge rice beer? hell yes! only a year old this place is already establishing a reputation for quality brew. right in the heart of bangalore, i was so excited to check this place out. it has three levels, a parlor on the street level with some pub food and open seating with a long wooden bar and visible copper brew kettles, a fine dining second floor, and a sportsbar type hangout on the top floor. they have six beers on tap at all times, some standard wheat beer/pilsner/stout stuff, but also some cool seasonals including a belgian strong ale and a ginger lemongrass lager that were both outstanding. food on the ground floor was small plates of indian dishes designed to keep the belly full but not too full for more beer. it was all delicious, and the service was the best of indian hospitality. all genuinely happy workers and good vibes all around. its a bit pricy by indian standards, costing about 250 rupees for a pint, but it is well worth it. i was here for about 5 hours and had a fantastic time. i recommend this place to anyone visiting bangalore, you will be impressed.
