While on Route 1 southbound, decided to hit this place before getting to the beach area. Easy to see the building from Rt. 1. Definite dive sports bar theme with light blue colors and several windows to provide natural light. The bar is U shaped and can sit about 20 people. Several hightops, booths, and dining tables fill the place. Signs hang all over the interior.
There are 35 beers on tap here, mostly focused on easy to find and popular micros. Goose Island 312, 16 Mile Goldebn Ale, Fordham Copperhead and Wisteria Wheat, Troegs Dreamweaver, Hennepin, Abita Purple Haze, Twin Lakes Greenville Pale, Evolution #3 and #7, and Victory Prima Pils name a few. There are also plenty of macros too. The beers we had were fresh. There was also some glass refridgerators in the bar area that sported some more micros choices.
Service was laid back, despite the smallish crowd. The food was low end pub food, sandwiches were dull and lifeless, overdressed salads, and soggy nachos. No one in the group wanted to try any seafood here, so no comments on those dishes.
Personally I think the Pickled Pig up the road a little further north offers a more interesting beer selection and great pub food. The rest of the group had similar sentiments.
