on tap at Jake’s Famous Crawfish, Portland
Deep amber with film of white.
Candied orange and resin nose.
Peach and toffee backbone with firm lemon, herbal, resin, and spruce hop notes.
Flowery comeback and gently bitter linger.
Medium, round, silky.
Two cuts above. Super smooth, incredibly balanced, both IBUs and aroma are there but with a measured touch.
Is it really a DIPA? Is it 100 IBUs? Do I care? Lovely beer.

Poured fro a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is a vibrant, slightly hazed, caramel coloring with a thin, filmy, clingy, bright white surface coat of head. Aromas of roasted caramel, tangy sweet mango, passion fruit, and pineapple, and resiny, floral hops. Smells like a sweet, tangy explosion. Flavors of tangy sweet tropical fruits initially, with a blending of mango and pineapple most apparent. Roasted undertone, with a hoppy blend of pepper and oregano cleaning things up a bit. Malty, with a robust blast from every aspect on the palate. No pulled punches in this brew. I would love to see what this beer would be like fresh-hopped. The aftertaste is tangy sweet and smooth, with a slick, smooth, clean finish. The palate becomes very balanced with rich sweetness and light, citrus tart at the end of the brew. Great beer, very easy to drink.
