On-tap at the Horse Brass Pub in Portland, OR.
Pours a cloudy orange hue, with a fine if filmy head that leaves some decent lace. Lightish body. It's pretty standard, if not unpleasant.
Nose is citric but sweet. Nice characters of marmalade, kumquat, mandarin and candied orange. It's not all that powerful, but the jelly-like sweetness is interesting.
Taste is powerful, however, and with this edge, it makes id deliciously well-rounded. Sweet citrus comes through all the way, with more marmalade, mandarin, and a lighter, sharper up-tilt of lemon peel. Everything is smoothed and glossed over by a mild mald sweetness that never gets in the way. Lively and lovely stuff. Feel is smooth without being intrusive.
Very nice easy-to-drink beer. It may lack some complexity in the scheme of things, but it has really robust and very pleasant characters. Very enjoyable indeed.
