Love what these guys are doing. Has a nice mostly clear Amber color with a smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel topped off with classic Oxbow farmhouse funk. Could use a tad more carb. I love this shit.

Purchased June 2015, just getting around to trying this guy. Pours a reddish brown with little-to-no khaki head. Nose is malty with a bit of funk - more "hay" than true "barnyard" so I'm not expecting the funk to be quite as strong. A hint of cherry as well. Taste is pretty well-balanced but slightly muted, with some toasted malts up front and an ever-so-slightly tart finish. It's almost like a Flanders Red but mellowed out. Mouthfeel is pretty crisp and pleasant. Overall, an easy drinker with enough complexity to make it a great food-pairing beer.

wonderfully tasty beverage w real nice said on blend w big oak notes finishing things off. thanks a ton to Gary for this surprise treat. so clean, the blend really comes across as a delicate saison vs a BdG, worthwhile.

500 mL bottle. Deep amber and a little murky. Medium khaki head. Aroma has a lot of barrel. Oak and vanilla. Rich maltiness. Some red wine-like tannins and acidity. Taste is more tart than the nose suggested. Just as much oak as the nose. Less malty. More red wine-y, though. High carbonation. Medium body. Lingering barrel flavors. Pretty tasty.
