Pours a golden with thick white head. There's beautiful carb on this as well. Lemon wheel and brett funk on the nose. It's light and mineral - there's copper penny character that's central to this beer. There is some pear as well. This is a nice saison but the minerality comes across a little heavy for me. I do like how light this is.

Bottled 12/12/19 drank 03/07/21

A gorgeous hazy gold with amber highlights, in the sun it almost appears to glow from within, and a thin tan head that quickly dissolves into a thin ring and an island
almost ripe peaches, green grapes, musty straw
Tartness, as opposed to sour. Green grapes, under-ripe peaches, green apples, some lemon & orange zest, yeasty funk of wet straw, dusty hay
tingly with a mild pucker and a round, dry, saliva inducing finish
Very, very nice. Sasuga is clean and bright. The rice creates a neutral base for the Brett to shine through. This beer does a fine job of showcasing Oxbow's Brett strains and you are rewarded with a refreshing and tart, but not food friendly, beer.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle dated 2016 into the test glass
A - Superb clarity, very active carbonation rockets top side. Color of light straw, a quick to recede white cap covers it all
S - Chalk, a bit of lemon drop, some botanical threads, include apple blossom, and lily.
T - The offering is a bit single dimensional in this aspect, if the intent of stainless was to display refined elements then yes.
These include white grape, a touch of Brett, the slightest hint of lemon.
M - Light on the palate, chalky element is very nice, carbonation is prickly and delightful
O - A very clean saison, the rice base keeps this very light in every aspect. With some time spent I really appreciate the efforts of the brewer to create this offering
