Poured into a pint glass. This one pours a cloudy pale straw with just a thing layer of white foam.

The aroma has a aroma of pale wheat with some hints of lemon zest in the background. The pallet is similar with pale wheat malt flavors and a bit of a bitter hop finish.

The body is nice and light with good carbonation. Overall this is real enjoyable. A nice afternoon drink.

On tap at Duckfat. Served in a snifter. Pale golden body. Small white head. Smells grainy and wheaty. A touch of yeast. Strong wheat taste and yeast. Almost tastes like it will be tart. Slightly lemony flavor builds in the finish. Light body and super easy drinking. Nice light saison.

13 oz. on tap at Cafe Miranda in Rockland, Maine. Served in Oxbow's fun proprietary glass, which is sort of snifter-like.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy and kind of bright yellow with a wee white head that is gone soon. Some lacing on the way down.

Aroma: Smells of lemon, citrus, spices, yeast, grass, and spices. Nice nose.

Taste: Taste follows the nose with lemon leading the way. Nice dry finish with lemon and spices making themselves present. Also a little bit of a peppery note on the finish.

Mouthfeel: It's a little light, but not egregiously so.

Overall: This is a good, sturdy saison that works best on a summer day. I don't really get "rustic" out of it, as the ad copy suggests, but it is a darn good beer. Oxbow knows what they're doing, especially with saisons, blondes and pale ales.
