This dry hopped American Saison is brewed with american hops and dry hopped with Amarillo. The Amarillo hop and saison yeast flavors tango in a dance; bombastic citrus serenades old world elegance.

The appearance had just a film of a white head with the nornal pale orange hazy body. Ever so slight bubbles surfacing in strings. Some beautiful nice ringy lacing graces the chalice. The smell had the Belgian yeast up front with some light floral/earthiness in the background. The taste was the same with an added bready/graininess. The palate was light to medium, normal Belgian harshness on the tongue expected but still trying to get used to with this style. Overall, this is good for the style and good for me.

Tap at Great lost Bear.

Smaller creamy head covering with some lacing, hazy amber slight golden color.

Nose light lemony floral hops, light lemongrass, earthy funk farmhouse, grassy earthy, light bready yeast.

Taste starts light bready and grainy, light funky farmhouse saison flavors, very earthy and some dry bready, lots of herbal earthy hops and a bit of musty slight resin, little lemon. Almost chewy with earthy yeast additions and herbal hops. Finish is dry, nice grassy herbal hop finish, little earthy farmhouse funk .

Mouth is med to a bit lighter bodied with decent carb.

Overall not bad, decent farmuouse but too herbal and earthy, fairly tasty and drinkable.

Oxbow's Freestyle series #6 features Amarillo hops ans saison yeast. Poured into a stemmed tulip. Enjoyed at Great Lost Bear.

A - Poured a crystal clear golden straw with a one finger white head that faded to a thin thin white blanket and light lacing.

S - Aromas of earthy musty funk. Very tell tale of oxbow. Musty, dirty, almost mshroomy. Super light citrus and faint armarillo.

T - Taste mimics the nose too, lots of old dusty musty funk. Barnyard funk, light old cellar type notes. There are light citrus notes and faint armarillo.

M - Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery which kind of distracts from the nice funk.

O - Overall this beer was enjoyable with nice funk and mustiness. The only downer is the mouthfeel.
