Served at Novare Res is Portland Maine. 8oz pour into a .25cl Allagash chalice.
Appearance- Dark cloudy amber color with minimal head. Moderate lacing around the top of the glass.
Smell- Sweet malts with dark stone fruit flavors. Mild hops. Alcohol.
Taste- Sweet fruity malts. Mild hops to balance out the sweetness. Very "winey" in the fruity flavors. Boozey, but not excessively.
Mouthfeel- Thick, but not overly sticky. Viscous with nice carbonation to balance.
Overall- Apparently it's the Saison Noel left to freeze eisbock style. Very unique and tasty and I hope to see it around again.
Serving type: on-tap
