A pretty old liquor store, the worn tile floors and wood paneling give it away. Flourescent lighting, narrow low aisles to deter shoplifters. Faded old macro ads and neons around (a Bells sticker on front door), a high counter was on the left side of the store. Beer selection starts with the coolers on the right side, leading up to the back wall. An impressive wall of nearly 100 singles in the back, similar to Binnys newer singles offering with some seasonals from last fall thrown in.
Back wall shelving is the bulk of the selection, in the coolers though are some scattered quality selections like Dreadnaught, Apocalypse Cow (current), Founders, and some Southern Tier Bombers. On the back wall, singles come up first... check a random date, Honkers is from 09/11, about 10 mos. old. Seems like limited space is dedicated in the collers to six packs in favor of singles and bombers in the back.
Singles: 5 Rabbit, Metropolitan, Goose, Nectar, Anderson Valley, New Belgium, SN Torpedo, Ska Modus, Tyranena Bitter Woman, Bells, Dark Horse, Bells Oarsman, Smuttynose Pumpkin :(
Bombers/750s: Old 1713 from Two Brothers, St Bernardus, Ovila, Ommegang Aphrodite, Saison Dupont, Hoppin Frog BA Boris, Hop Juice, Boulevard Choc Ale, DFH Sahti, 2-3 ST bombers, Chimay, Rogue. There were a few more single bottles on the front counter, including Bashah and BA Gonzo.
Service was limited to the counter, but the guys were friendly enough and grabbed a 4 pack holder for the few singles I bought. Overall good for the immediate area, though Famous has a slightly larger selection.

This is a surprisingly good place for micro beer.
From the outside, the store doesn't look like anything special at all. But step inside and head immediately to the back wall. There you will find a great selection of micro beer. And you can mix and match your own six pack for a reasonable price. If you happen to be there when Rik, the manager in charge of the beer selection is in, you can enjoy a good conversation where he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm and recommendations for good beer. (FYI, the great beer selection has only been in effect for the short time that Rik has been in charge of the beer selection. So even though this place is technically years old, it's evolved recently.)
Don't let yourself be turned off by the shabby look of the old storefront. There's some great things inside.
