I had this on tap while at Mudhook with carlos -served chilled in a standard pint.
The color is a woody medium brown without any head at all, mildly hazed. The beads ring the glass but no lace sticks. The smell is very sweet with a lot of caramel aroma from the malt, mild toast and alcohol. The feel is substantial in body, yet relatively light for the strength. There is a moderate sweetness level and mild alcohol in the feel with low bitterness.
The taste is good with a slight sweet entry and caramel malt flavor with subtle toast/biscuit flavor mid taste. There is light diacetyl and a mellow alcohol flavor in the finish, but overall a nutty dry and flavorful scotch ale. Overall this is pretty decent. I would not pass it up if I saw it on tap since it is smooth for the amount of abv it is packin'
